The Smith and Wollensky Wedge Salad
If there’s one thing I’ve learned during pregnancy, it’s this: when a craving hits… it hits. And for me, it’s not ice cream, or late-night hunger.
It’s the Smith & Wollensky Wedge Salad.
Yes…a salad. But its not just any salad.
Its the salad.
I discovered this salad over the summer when I moved to SoHo and was meeting a girlfriend for lunch in Midtown. We met at Smith & Wollensky and I loved the true New York steakhouse vibe. I could not stop thinking about it. Admittedly, I ordered one the next day on Uber Eats….
Between New York and Miami, this salad has officially become my go-to order. It’s familiar, reliable, and somehow always exactly what I want after a long day of working, being on the move and being a mom.
So whenever I’m home and craving something fresh but filling, this is the first thing I think of. I had to put my own twist on this with Brian (the pregnancy cravings are hitting). It’s become an easy staple in my routine, especially on busy weeks when I’m running around!
Here is our take on the wedge, with some healthier ingredient alternatives!
Life gets busy, routines shift, and priorities change — but the small things we create for ourselves matter more than we think. Whether it’s a favorite salad, a walk, a quiet morning, or your favorite coffee… always do the things that make you feel more like you.
